@everyone Voting on the proposal to retire the Vega chain has ended. Although voters overwhelmingly supported this proposal, it was not enacted due to a large number of voters unstaking their VEGA tokens before the end of the voting period. See the forum update: https://community.vega.xyz/t/vbp-11-proposal-to-deprecate-vega-chain/4588 As a protective measure, the Vega protocol requires voters’ tokens to be staked at the end of the voting period for their votes to count. In this case, the removal of staked tokens dropped the total votes below the required participation threshold. Given that the majority of on-chain votes were supportive, and that almost all conversations we’ve had with token holders have also been supportive of this proposal, it has been resubmitted. You now have until 11:00 CEST on Tuesday, 10th September, to vote on the resubmitted proposal. Please ensure that your VEGA tokens remain staked at least until that time for your vote to count.
